It was a wonderful old theater. I loved the neon sign, a glowing icon in the night. I saw several shows there, including Duran Duran in 1988. It was a great small venue. I'll never forget standing on the front row screaming and being pressed by the packed crowd into the railing that was meant to hold the crowd back from the stage. In later years, the Arcadia was turned into a dance club and it was there, while dancing on 80's night, that my best friend met her husband. I’m so sad that the Arcadia is gone. I saw my first TMBG show there in 1990. Damn. I think that was the first show I went to when a friend-not-a-parent drove. Fond memories. I still regret not buying an official TMBG fez that night.
