Nothing boring about it, at least not to those of us who've been there. And I doubt your mom is bored, either. She's doing all this stuff for you, yes, but she's also doing it for her grandbaby. :) Hang in there, and do stay on your ass as much as possible. Hope Aquaman makes an entrance soon!

You're right, I should enjoy sitting while I still can!! And having someone clean my house. And sleeping. Although I'm not doing that very well lately (HOW many times can a person PEE in the middle of the night?!) I'm trying to enjoy this time instead of always looking ahead to the next thing, but it's hard. Like you, I know my life is going to change when this milestone occurs, but I'm not really sure how yet, in all the little day to day ways. And Aquaman will be off to college before we can even blink our eyes. It's weird to think that.

I'm glad you're enjoying reading my super boring life updates :)

Stick with sitting on your ass. It's going to hurt in a few days. And you don't really sit down again for another few years.

On a more reflective note, this last few months of Anna being in high school seems very similar to waiting for her to be born. I am impatient but full of anticipation and a bit of anxiety. I can't wait to see if she'll be healthy (WILL SHE EVER FINISH HER COLLEGE APPLICATIONS!?!?!!?) or what she'll look like (KU, Harvard, Grinnell, William and Mary, Math, Linguistics) and what will her APGAR score be (financial aide). And more importantly, after she goes to college, what does that mean for my life?

I think that's why I've been enjoying your blog so much. This long wait will pass quickly, as will the rest. And as far as I can tell, no one comes to clean while you're waiting for them to go away to college.
